Tim, the process explained in the email in not all that uncommon. CIA does
have state-side personnel who work with industry, and uses industry to further
the activities. The individual should have had credentials. The "hello" line
may not of been a hello line; its just the way they answer their phones. I
really can't comment much more on the process though without stepping across
some lines.
